Colleen had recently bought her first condo and wanted to make it reflect her vibrant personality. Our goal was to maximize her square footage ensuring she had the functionality to host friends and family for weekend gatherings.
THE BEDROOM
BEFORE
The bedroom was lacking in imagination. To match her fun-loving personality she needed a room that was bold, slightly feminine and 100% luxurious.
THE DESIGN SOLUTION
A blue velvet queen-sized bed was chosen as the statement piece. The green accent wall further highlighted the beauty of the bed and tied the modern boho look together. A complementary Aztec rug was added in a neutral shade in order to calm and balance out the bold colors. Wood nightstands and faux plants completed the look by infusing it with the earthy boho feel!

LIVING ROOM
BEFORE
Colleen's condo lacked a proper dining area, desired for hosting dinner parties. Oversizes furniture made the living area feel small and cramped.
THE DESIGN SOLUTION
To increase functionality in the condo, we transformed the previously boring structural half wall in the kitchen, making it into an island. A butcher-block table top was installed along the kitchen wall separator to create more useable space. This creative solution now serves as a seating area and has doubled Colleen's once limited counter space.
For additional dining, we created another multipurpose space by adding a pub-style table behind the couch. Most days, this is where Colleen watches TV while she eats her breakfast. On times when she is hosting friends for dinner, the pub table can be pulled out to seat 4-6 guests, saving valuable space when it's not in use.
Fun accents such as the bar cart and vibrant rugs bring vibrancy to the space.
Keeping the paint and large furniture pieces neutral allowed us to be bold in our accents.
